SUBANG JAYA: Taylor’s University Student Council (TUSC) will promote a few platforms for TU students to voice their opinions to the TU top management prior to the end of the Voice Campaign from 23rd October October to 27th October 2015.
The platforms promoted will be the Student Central Page, intercom phones in campus and the contact e-mails of Facilities Management, ICT, and Security departments.
TUSC’s Director of Campus Welfare Loke Ren Zhang, 20, said that through these platforms students can refer certain issues regarding TU and get faster responses and solutions.
TUSC is currently looking at social media as the main vehicle for promotion, followed by broadcasting the info on the televisions around campus.
“These platforms will serve as a long term two-way feedback communication,” Loke added.
Founder and pioneer of the Voice Campaign 2013 Joshua Chieng Lie Yang, 23, commented that TUSC should also promote The Voice Campaign as a year-long campaign, and not just an event held twice a year.
“When the Voice Campaign was created, it was designed to function for the whole year, but we only set up booths twice a year to further expose students to existence of this campaign, especially the freshmen,” Chieng said.
The three main issues highlighted during the recent Voice Campaign were the price of food in TU, the cleanliness of the toilets and the maintenance of car parks and roads around campus.
TUSC is still working on the solutions to be suggested to TU management.
