SUBANG JAYA: Taylor’s University (TU) e-Stage platform is underutilised by students due to lack of knowledge about its availability and function.
“Students can improve their presentation skills by recording themselves at e-Stage to find out their errors or weaknesses,” Learning Resource Specialist Ahmad Faiz Mohamad Shokri said.
He added that when the e-Stage was launched, a promotional video was shown to encourage students to experience the new platform.
Ahmad said, “We implemented the booking system through student portal to track students’ usage of e-Stage.”
He added, “In the previous semester when the e-Stage was launched, for the first two months, we have recorded students booking slots for it on a weekly basis but it was not consistent.”
Ahmad said, “The plan to further increase the awareness of e-Stage is under development and there will be a new e-Stage platform opposite American Degree Program (ADP) foyer early next year.”
American Degree Transfer Programme student Gerald Ung Wen Yau, 22, said, “TU e-Management should increase the promotion for e-Stage through social media in order to expose students to new learning environment.”
Ung added, “e- Management should set strict rules about the platforms usage to prevent students from misusing it.”
